The stainless steel?
I have a stainless steel pot 11 quarts that I discovered what I think is a spot of rust. Are there any thing that I can buy to get rid of the stain or should I pitch the pot?
Yes, but very slight friction with the scouring pad ... or try "Bartender's Friend" or "Zud" or "Bon Ami" with some 0000 (very) to fine steel wool and a little Water ... wipe and then flush the crud, then rub a drop of cooking oil on top this place. Always make sure that your stainless steel pots, pans, utensils are allowed to dry in such a way that any water can drain out / off of them.
