Printer Problem ... help me fix this color laser if you please?
My boss gave me a HP 2550L color laser printer that has left the business center of the hotel, we work in when it started to act up. I try to see if I can correct the problem. He did the same thing at home on my G5 it did on the business center PC. I downloaded the driver package from HP, but it serves no purpose. It seems to print pages in black and white OK, but when you try to print color, it prints one or two lines of random characters (in black and white) across the top of the otherwise blank pages. It prints page after page, like this endless. The only way to successfully stop is to pull the cord. Any ideas?
first, make sure that the cartridge is good. You'll have to set out to do. So if it is correct, go to Start printers click, select properties right click on the printer to a test page and change the settings. Sometimes trial and error is the best method. If this does not work, you may be out of ink color.
