What funded Dresden construction boom in Germany from 1880 to 1900?
I live in a house that was a family house of about 6000 square feet. She and hundreds of others, were built between 1880 and 1900. On my street, Mendelssohnallee is Googled a picture of one of these dwellings, a monster more than 8,000 square feet, is displayed. Many areas of Dresden that have not been burned in February 1945, have been built in this period of 20 years. My personal guess about the source of the prosperity of this period is a combination of manufacturing porcelain Meissen mining Erzgebirge Mountains, and relative political stability in the German government.
Dresden developed into a great city the German Empire during the 2nd half of the 19th century because the industrial revolution had reached the area. Thus, increasingly came to Dresden, living in some small cities around the real city that has finally been "absorbed" by Dresden. Thus, the population has increased steadily.
