Garden Rhododendron
need help identifying a plant that I found in my garden?
Last year I lost one lot more grown under-wood in my backyard. Last w / e, we went to go cut some of the roots and found a plant that unlike any other. Having grown up on a farm and have a pretty good idea of plants - I can not determine what it is. It is dark green, thick, waxy leaves (5 of them, hanging down like a marijuana plant). It looks like a rhododendron except it has only 5 sheets per stem, are all uniform and non-lagged and they are larger and hang down - not like rhododendrons that I saw. I Iive in IT should be something quite Copious survive the winters. I went to the local garden centers (Lowe's, etc.) but have not seen anything like it. Maybe someone could help to identify or point me to a website w / references pictures .......
