Floral Porcelain
Does anyone know what a bird cage china can be useful or if it is an antique or not?
I found a cage made of porcelain in a friend of the parents abandoned house. It is white and a blue floral pattern on it EHV are hand painted. It looks really old. I can not find a similar one anywhere online through other search engines. These people were pack-rats beyond belief and have many other antiques. It is beautiful and I think it could be something.
It is certainly something. The porcelain is mainly in Asia, So there is a good chance it is imported. The fact that it is a bird cage is pretty amazing. If it is not chipped at all, it looks like a piece very rare and collectible. It is near certain he would have to be hand carved. You should get the evaluation by a real appraiser. I'd like to see a picture of him.
