Does anyone know of an old Royal Doulton doll called Thursday's Girl "?
I have an old (ancient?) Royal Doulton Doll and I need info on it. Tag-Nisbet said Thursday Girl. Porcelain Face, Soft body, long blond hair, wearing a suit Navy (skirt, top and hat). "SS Nisbet" on the hat. Made in UK.
Thursday Girl is a 1982 Royal Doulton Doll Collection Victorian Birthday. Peggy Nisbet is a designer who has worked with the Royal Doulton Limited Edition Kate Greenaway and Victorian dolls birthday. 5000 of each doll were made. To determine if yours is authentic, check out the Royal Doulton stamp on the nape of the neck. It should also be a label sewn to the reading on clothing, "" & Nisbet Royal Doulton made in England ". I think these dolls sell for about forty to fifty pounds.
