do you think Australia should have a Cup competition as England does for the FA Cup?

im writing an analysis of questions on this issue. when I say a Cup competition, I mean, the weaker clubs in Australia as Cumberland in Adelaide for example, could eventually play professional teams like Sydney or Melbourne. So yes, looking for some advice, what do you guys think?

I think it would be a spectacular flop. The reason is that the gap between the A-League and state leagues is much greater than in a place like England in terms of skills and following. It is fair to say that the lower divisions of England are the equivalent of what the A-League is about. You could see the strange confusion, but mostly it would be the same teams from the former A-League is the final phase of the competition. Before you even start thinking about this, why do not they try to focus on increasing the size of the A-League and get more teams? It would be more logical, right?
