States share of marriage 'Dress Code - Smart Casual?
We have been invited to my wife's cousin marriage in June and the dress code States 'invitation' - Smart Casual - No tie. I have a linen suit cream that my wife was paired with a V white sleeveless neck t-shirt. He seems fine with the jacket, but it is very hot during the wedding dinner, I wonder if it might have seemed a little too casual if I take the jacket. I know that other options are to wear a normal shirt with a collar (but becomes more formal) or an ordinary T-shirt (which does not quite go with the dress). Any thoughts?
Why not wear a shirt with short sleeves button. It is still a "normal" shirt you can wear with linen jacket, but if it's hot that day you can remove your jacket and shirt will always rather formal (more formal than the V-neck T-shirt without being too formal, since it is short sleeves) while allowing you to cool the hot day.
