How can I stop my pet Blue and Gold Macaw from biting?
Hi I have a pet Macaw blue and gold. He is 7 months and we have made him almost 4 month. It is really good but sometimes it just bites down really hard on your hand for no reason. I really do not know why he does because nothing has changed. When he does that we hold his beak and say no, then put it back in his cage. This does not seem to work though. Someone there any other suggestions?? Thank you
Find out what she likes and dislikes. When he bites or misbehaves, make sure the sentence is into something he does not or he could begin to bite because he really wants to punish you. Squirt bottles tend to work well with macaws, but are not necessarily a real punishment and they work well to persuade them to stop in their tracks.
